We will look at the impactful injuries that will need to be monitored throughout the next week in preparation for the opening week on the season.
Roquan Smith, LB (Hamstring/Questionable for Week 1 at Green Bay )
The Bears first-round pick, who missed training camp because of a contract stalemate with the team, wasn’t able to practice Wednesday night after leaving practice with hamstring soreness Tuesday. Matt Nagy stated it’s a “fair statement” to say that Smith’s limit in practice decreased the likelihood he’ll play Saturday. Nick Kwiatkoski will shoulder the load at LILB in the meantime while Joel Iyiegbuniwe will rotate in and look to take advantage of meaningful snaps on Saturday to further his chances of a roster position and role come regular season.

Xavier Woods, DB (Hamstring/ Questionable for Week 1 at Carolina)
The majority of information for Woods is quite cloudy, with most of it discussing bolstering depth at safety for Dallas. We do know that the Cowboys coaching staff are seriously doubting his appearance in this years season opener. While the thought of bringing Eric Reid has become a real discussion in Dallas until that becomes a realization Marqueston Huff will be the direct replacement for woods.
Deion Jones, MLB (Undisclosed /Questionable for Week 1 at Philadelphia)
The Falcons have remained optimistic and somewhat vague while handling Jones' injury. He did participate in some minor drills with trainers during practice on Wednesday and is listed as Out for Saturday's game against the Jaguars. Look for sixth-round pick Foyesade Oluokun to continue his pursuit of playing time while making a push for a meaningful regular season role.

Casey Hayward, CB (Hamstring/Questionable for Week 1 vs. Kansas City)
Limping Off the field on Wednesday, Haward was taken directly to the medical tent by the training staff. As of now, it is not expected to be a major concern. Though with LAC any ailment to a DB is impactful. This should not be a hindrance to Hayward's week 1 chances. While bringing in an experienced free agent is a possibility to help bolster an ailing group of DBS in LA. Desmond King has impressed in the past and will work to do the same in the absence of Hayward while trying carving out a more prominent role in the secondary.
Rashaan Evans, LB (Undisclosed/Questionable for Week 1 at Miami)
Evans returned to practice ...But it didn't last long. Evans, who suffered an undisclosed injury that he called "nothing serious," didn't do much after stretching in his first day back, partaking in only three reps during individual drills before being pulled. The Titans staff will monitor him and will be looking to have him back on the field next week. Will Compton has taken almost all of the snaps at LILB during the preseason. we will have to wait a bit longer to see Evans on the field and assume the starting position that has been earmarked for him since draft day.
A.J. Bouye, CB (Illness /Questionable for Week 1 at N.Y. Giants)
Bouye sat out of Tuesday's practice. It's unclear how serious his sickness is, but the Jags can't afford to lose him with Jalen Ramsey already set to miss Week 1 due to suspension. Luckily this is expected to be non-factor in his availability for week one. but this will need to be monitored as we progress towards the season opener. The saving grace for Jacksonville is the depth in their secondary with DJ Hayden, Jalen Myrick, and rookie Tre Herndon all looking to earn a larger role and more playing time come week 1.
