Dynasty Fantasy Football IDP Cornerback Buys and Sells (2024)

Let's be honest, cornerbacks don't matter much in most dynasty IDP fantasy football leagues. While unfortunate, it is the bitter truth. If you do play in a dynasty IDP fantasy football league that values CBs, let's take a look at some of my favorite buy-and-sell candidates for 2024 and forward!

The old IDP fantasy football league mantra is "Get rookie corners because they will get targeted and tested". While that is true in some cases, the new and real mantra should be to target slot cornerbacks and CBs who are on good offensive teams. Here are some of my favorite dynasty fantasy football IDP cornerback buys and sells for 2024 and beyond!

Christian Gonzalez - New England Patriots

As a rookie, Christian Gonzalez began his IDP career with two 20+ point performances (in IDP Invitational scoring) and was the sixth-highest scoring IDP CB on average through three weeks. Then, he missed the rest of the season with a torn labrum early in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. He is a perfect bounce-back candidate and many IDP fantasy managers have forgotten about him. If you are doing a dynasty startup, Gonzalez is a prime late-round target and my favorite buy candidate.

After being introduced to fantasy football in 1999 as a wee lad still in middle school, I was hooked. I then began commishing my own keeper league 2 years later as a sophomore in high school, which has been running since. I used a computer program that required me to manually input weekly stats and had to print out summary packets each week to deliver to league owners at the bowling alley. I loved it. Stats and numbers and the competitiveness of being "right" about players was just an incredible high that not many other activities or hobbies have ever provided me. Around 2005 we migrated to the CBS sports site. I found a new love then, writing about our league. Each year after the draft I would "grade" each owner's team. It became almost as anticipated as the draft itself. Also, most weeks I'd recap the league's games and criticize start/sits while boasting my own accolades as long as I won that week. Dynasty, IDP & Superflex are the next evolutions in my fantasy football journey. I'm a Philly suburbs guy, GO BIRDS. Follow me on Twitter @dynastysanta
