Every season there are a few rookie IDP prospects that could end up being huge values for your team! Do you want to know which IDP rookies could end up being a steal in your leagues?

    1. Jamien Sherwood, LB/DB, New York Jets

The New York Jets selected safety Jamien Sherwood in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft. After being drafted, the Jets decided to see how he would do as a linebacker. Teammate, CJ Mosley, will likely have an every-down role for New York. Making him the main guy to roster for IDP fantasy managers.

Jarrad Davis was supposed to be the guy playing next to him. But, an ankle injury during the preseason put a damper on those plans. The next man up will be Jamien Sherwood!

At 6'2 and roughly 220lbs, Sherwood has the body of an NFL linebacker. With Jarrad Davis out, head coach Robert Saleh expects him to slide into a starting role for the team. Sherwood has great instincts and, a tremendous "nose" for the ball. While playing a starting role, he should be able to provide a nice LB2-3 floor for IDP fantasy managers.

Sherwood could be a cheat code for anyone who decides to roster him, as he likely has dual eligibility as a defensive back on some fantasy platforms!

    2. Gregory Rousseau, DE/ DL, Buffalo Bills

Gregory Rousseau was widely considered one of the top defensive linemen before the 2021 NFL draft! He opted out of his final season at Miami University in 2020. His college teammate, Jaelan Phillips, looked to have passed him as the top prospect at their defensive end position.

Then, Phillips' performance at his pro day disappointed many IDP analysts and even some NFL scouts. It was expected that he could even fall out of the first round by some.

The Buffalo Bills decided to beef up their defensive line by adding Rousseau with the 30th overall pick at the tail end of the first round! AT 6'6 and 260lbs, Gregory Rousseau is a whole lot of man! With some improvements, he should provide IDP value right away for managers who drafted him.

The Bills' defensive line has a nice mix of veterans and young players. Rousseau will prove he needs to be on the field. I think he will start off as a nice DL3-4 with a DL1-2 upside by the end of 2021!

    3. Tre'von Moehrig, S/DB, Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders got themselves a steal in the second round! Taking TCU safety Tre'von Moehrig 43rd overall. Moehrig was quite possibly one of the top-rated safeties from the 2021 NFL draft. His athleticism won't jump out at you but, he's a ball hawk who can make some huge plays in the open field.

Moehrig won the Jim Thorpe award in his junior year of college. Free safety was a huge need for the Raiders, and he looks to be running away with that starting position.

Trevon Moehrig should be a lock for the starting free safety position in Las Vegas. Normally, the free safety position doesn't provide tons of IDP points or value on a regular basis. Moehrig reminds me of another free safety in the NFL, who provides weekly value. That player is Jessie Bates III! I fully believe Trevon Moehrig can provide a nice DB2-3 floor for IDP fantasy managers right away. His upside is huge considering his teammate, Johnathan Abram, has proved he has trouble staying healthy!
