Who are the best stock market investments and liquidations for Week 11? Here’s who to buy and sell, to help your fantasy portfolio this season!

Every fantasy manager should look at their teams as the stock market. You want to buy rising stocks for cheap and sell at their peak, in order to secure a premium return. And just like stockbrokers and investors, you want to diversify your portfolio, with a number of different options. Not all stocks pan out and sometimes there are substantial losses, but there are also those penny stocks that can make you rich! You have to diversify your fantasy portfolio with all types of stocks that can help you maximize your returns. Hopefully, my weekly stock market can guide you to a championship and those big payouts and help avoid those major losses.

With the NFL season just past halfway complete and fantasy league teams beginning to position themselves for a championship run or selling off valuable pieces to build for the future, I am going to do something different with this week’s stock market article. In this piece, I am going to look at one player at each position who can provide a great return for both buyers and sellers. These are the more popular names that are game-changers for contenders and bring a high return for those looking to cash in.

    Stock Market Investments

    DT, DaVon Hamilton, Jacksonville Jaguars

    Last Week: 41 snaps (63%), 4 tackles, 4 solos, 1 TFL, 1 QB Hit, 1 sack, 1 PBU

If you’re looking for a super cheap option at the defensive tackle position, then the initial public offering (IPO) of Davon Hamilton is one stock market investment to make. The rookie from Ohio State is seeing a steady growth in snaps each week and so is the return he’s providing fantasy managers. In his last two road games, Hamilton has produced a high return for fantasy managers as he’s recorded 12 tackles, eight solos, two TFLs, three QB hits, one sack, and one PBU. He has played well enough in fact, that the Jaguars have plugged him in as a starter the last four games. Hamilton can be picked up off waivers in most leagues so the investment cost is dirt cheap.

CB, JC Jackson, New England Patriots

    Last Week: 66 snaps (100%), 1 INT, 1 PBU

My next stock market option, JC Jackson, is one of the hottest commodities at the cornerback position this season. Especially over the last five weeks. Over that stretch, he’s had at least one interception in each of those five games and currently sits as the NFL's leader with six on the season. Will he keep up that pace? Not likely but I do expect him to continue to keep ballin' out. Jackson also has 11 PBUs on the season and at least one in all but one game. With teams avoiding last year’s defensive MVP, Stephon Gilmore, Jackson is getting targeted plenty and that should continue the rest of the season. Looking for a great streaming option or in my opinion a great starter, then Jackson is a great investment.

    DE, Carlos Dunlap, Seattle Seahawks

    Last Week: 51 snaps (76%), 4 tackles, 2 solos, 2 TFLs, 3 QB hits, 2 sacks

My last stock market investment, Carlos Dunlap, is a stock that has been trending up, since being traded from Cincinnati to Seattle a few weeks ago. Sometimes a change of scenery is all a player needs to get that spark back. For Dunlap, that spark seems to be turning into an inferno. In his three games with Seattle, he’s had one clunker but terrific showings in the other two games. In those two games, he registered nine tackles, five solos, five QB hits, five TFLs, and three sacks. As a comparison, he had only one sack for the Bengals in the eight games he played for them this season. Go get him now while his value among fantasy managers is still low. This is the kind of pick up or trade that can help you win a championship.

Blue Chip Stock of the Week

S, Kamren Curl, Washington Football Team

    Last Week: 59 snaps (100%), 9 tackles, 6 solos, 1 TFL, 1 QB hit, 1 sack

This week’s blue-chip stock market investment started off a little slow, but an injury to star Landon Collins opened the door for a bigger role. Curl has stepped up big time in filling those shoes. Curl started the last two games for Washington and in those contests, he’s registered 20 tackles, 12 solos, two TFL’s, three QB hits, and two sacks. Those numbers are Collins like numbers! The rookie from Arkansas has grabbed everyone’s attention and deservedly so. Washington still has a lot of issues offensively so their defense will be on the field a lot and that will be a lot of play-making opportunities for Curl. He is an excellent dynasty stock and a great addition to any IDP portfolio. Curl can still be picked up off waivers in a lot of leagues.

    Stock Market Liquidations

    OLB, DeVondre Campbell, Arizona Cardinals

    Last Week: 26 snaps (39%), 1 tackle, 1 solo

My first stock market liquidation has played exceptionally well this season. The emergence of super rookie Isaiah Simmons has put a significant value hit on De’Vondre Campbell’s playing time and value going forward. Even though he’s started every game this season, his snap percentage has dropped immensely the last two weeks - thanks to a calf injury. Because of that injury, Campbell's usage has dropped from a 100% snap share or roughly 65 to 70 snaps per game to 45% or 36 snaps per game. That’s a big downward trend and it’s had an immediate impact on his production. Simmons is the future and the numbers show that it’s Campbell who will suffer the most. I would try and trade him now while that decent sell window is open and you can still get a decent return for him.

S, Troy Apke, Washington Football Team

    Last Week: 27 snaps (46%), 1 tackle, 1 solo

My next stock market liquidation is Troy Apke who to begin the season was a stock market investment option. He was playing well and providing a decent return. However, in the last four weeks, his stock has fallen quickly and at a pace that fantasy managers need to cut their losses now. Part of the reason for his decline is the play of teammate Kamren Curl. Many fantasy managers and experts thought Apke would be the guy to own when Collins went down, but that hasn’t been the case. Apke has only played 28 total snaps and recorded two tackles over the last four games. You’re likely not going to get much for him, if anything right now, so the best you can do is add him as a throw-in in some trades.
