NFL IDP Investments for Week 7

    1. Jonathan Greenard, DE, Houston Texans

    Week 6 Stats: 27 snaps (56%), 6 tackles, 5 solos, 2 TFLs, 2 sacks, 3 QB hits

Greenard has been a waiver gem so far this season and the high returns are likely to continue. He started the last four games for the Texans and has played over 50% of the defensive snaps in three of those starts. The increased snap share has resulted in an increase in his production.

Through four games played this season, Greenard has registered 13 tackles — 10 solos — 5 TFLs, 4 sacks, 5 QB hits, 13 combined pressures, and 1 forced fumble. He has at least one sack in three of the four games he’s played. Greenard’s output so far this season has been great for those looking for production at the defensive end position.

Fantasy managers have taken notice of his standout play, as they started Greenard in 63% of MyFantasyLeague.com fantasy leagues. Despite missing two games, he is averaging 16.95 fantasy points per game and producing as a mid-tier 1 defensive end. Now is the time to invest, as the price will only go up from here.

This is a great investment option that has been producing a high return and will not cost you nearly as much as the big-name stocks.

    2. Kenny Clark, DT, Green Bay Packers

    Week 6 Stats: 50 snaps (82%), 3 tackles, 3 solos, 2 TFLs, 2 sacks, 3 QB hits

Clark has played nose tackle for most of his career, but this year he’s been playing more at defensive end. He is still listed as a defensive tackle on some fantasy sites, which makes a nice cheat code option for your fantasy teams. Clark has been playing really well this season and fantasy managers are reaping the rewards.

Through six games played this season, Clark has played 81% of the defensive snaps for Green Bay, which is the second-highest rate of his career. He has recorded 26 tackles — 14 solos — 5 TFLs, 3 sacks, 5 QB hits, and 1 fumble recovery.

Clark is currently on pace to finish the season with 8½ sacks, breaking his current personal best of six. His two-sack performance last week against the Chicago Bears marked the fifth such game of his career.

While he is rostered in just 9% of MyFantasyLeague.com leagues, he was started in 87% of those leagues last week. Clark is a stock that is continuing to trend up and has been providing a nice return for investors. Pick him up if he is available, or ask for him as part of any trades that you make. You can likely get him as a throw-in piece — a low-risk option with a solidly high floor.

    Investment Rating: 3

    3. Byron Murphy, CB, Arizona Cardinals

    Week 6 Stats: 59 snaps (100%), 6 tackles, 5 solos, 1 PBU

Outside of Trevon Diggs, Murphy is playing better than anyone at the cornerback position and having a career season to this point. He is on pace to break or already has broken some of his personal best totals.

In five games played this season, Murphy has 20 tackles — 17 solos; 3 interceptions for 36 return yards, 1 returned for a touchdown; and 7 PBUs. He has played 294 of the defensive snaps (77%) so far this season. Murphy was named the Week 3 Defensive Player of the Week, with his four tackles, two interceptions — one returned for a touchdown — and a two PBU performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Cornerback is typically a streamed position, but Murphy is worth adding to your roster permanently. Six percent of MyFantasyLeague.com fantasy managers have him on their roster, but 78% of those managers started him. An excellent low investment option that is providing huge returns. Go get him now and reap the rewards.
