Happy Thanksgiving! Check out the Offensive Players Injury Report to see which players to have as your main course this year.

For many families (my own included), Thanksgiving is all about food, football, and most importantly, family. I sincerely wish you the happiest of Thanksgivings and appreciate the time you've taken to read my articles so far this year. With more games played this Thursday than a normal week, be sure to reference the Offensive Player Injury Report to see if your Sunday players are likely to play or not.

Be sure to check back for updates as more information comes in.

For a quick reference tool, check out the new injury tracker that I will be updating up until kickoff.

NFL Week 12 Injury Report for Offensive Players

    Week 12 Bye
Chase Edmonds, RB - Injured Reserve

Edmonds suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 9 and was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 10. He will be eligible to return in Week 13.

    DeAndre Hopkins, WR - Questionable

Hopkins has not played since Week 8 but will look to make his return in Week 13 after getting some extra rest from the bye week.

    Kyler Murray, QB - Questionable

Murry sprained his ankle in Week 8 and has missed every game since. He has been able to log some limited practices so hopefully, he will be able to return in Week 13.

    Cordarrelle Patterson, RB - Questionable

Patterson suffered an ankle sprain that caused him to miss Week 11 and will remain questionable for Week 12.

Calvin Ridley, WR - Reserve/NFI List

Ridley was placed on the Reserve/NFI (Non-Football Injury) list prior to Week 9 while dealing with mental health issues. The move necessitates a minimum of three weeks' absence similar to short-term IR, but he could be done for the year. If your league allows NFI players to be placed on IR, I would strongly encourage you to do that for now until new information comes out.

    Latavius Murray, RB

Murray missed Weeks 7 through 10 with an ankle injury but returned in Week 11. Devonta Freeman appears to be the lead back for the time being after out-touching Murray 22 to 12.

    Marquise Brown, WR - Questionable

Brown was ruled out of Week 11 with a thigh injury and is questionable for Week 12 as of now. Watch for updates throughout the week to see if he is able to get back to practice.

    Lamar Jackson, QB - Questionable

Jackson left practice early with a non-COVID illness and was ruled out prior to the Ravens' Week 11 game. I would assume that he will be healthy enough to return in time for Week 12 but I would watch his practice status closely. Tyler Huntley started Week 11 in place of Jackson and would be the presumed starter again if Jackson isn't recovered by next week.

    Cole Beasley, WR - Questionable

Beasley has played through a rib injury the past few weeks and has been limited on gamedays as a result. Tight end Dawson Knox has returned from a hand injury and is also cutting into Beasley's target share further diminishing Beasley's fantasy reliability.

    Team Update:

Beasley does not carry an injury designation for Thursday and no new Bills' players were added.

Sam Darnold, QB - Injured Reserve

Darnold was diagnosed with a fractured scapula and was placed on injured reserve. His recovery timeline was said to be 4-6 weeks but I expect that we've seen the last of Darnold in 2021.

    Justin Fields, QB - Out

Fields suffered a rib injury that was later diagnosed as bruised ribs rather than broken. While that does bode well for him to return sooner than later, the Bears play on Thanksgiving Day leading to veteran Andy Dalton being named the starter for this week.

Tarik Cohen, RB (knee - ACL)

    Remains on the PUP list.

Damien Williams, RB - Doubtful Out

Williams was inactive in Week 11 with a knee injury and I consider him to be doubtful for Week 12's Thanksgiving Day game against the Lions.

    Allen Robinson, WR - Doubtful

Robinson missed Week 11 with a hamstring injury and his status remains unknown for Week 12. With Robinson out, both Darnell Mooney and Marquise Goodwin saw increased opportunities and each had productive games. With Dalton likely to start on a short week, any Bears wide receiver is risky.

    Team Update:

Fields and Williams were both ruled out on Wednesday, while Allen Robinson remains doubtful. I expect he will be ruled inactive pregame.

    No new injuries were reported.

Kareem Hunt, RB - Injured Reserve

Hunt left Week 6 with a calf injury and was placed on injured reserve. He is eligible to return but has not yet been activated. He is expected to return to practice this week and has a chance to play in Week 12.

    Jarvis Landry, WR - Questionable

Landry aggravated the knee injury that has caused him to miss time already this season although the extent is unknown. Watch his practice status late in the week to see if he can play in Week 12.

    Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR - Questionable

Peoples-Jones flashed a few weeks ago with more opportunities but missed Week 11 with a groin injury. I would hesitate to play him his first week back but there's no guarantee that he plays in Week 12 at all.

Ceedee Lamb, WR - Doubtful Questionable

Lamb exited Week 11 with a concussion and is unlikely to clear protocol in time with a short turnaround in Week 12. With the Cowboys playing on Thanksgiving we will at least know soon whether the second-year wide receiver will be active or not.

Amari Cooper, WR - Out (COVID-19)

Cooper missed Week 11 after testing positive for COVID and has already been ruled out of Week 12.

    Ezekial Elliott, RB - Questionable

Elliott missed stretches of the Cowboys' Week 11 game and was classified as limited in practice Monday due to a knee injury. The team didn't actually practice so the designation is just an estimate and I would venture a guess that he will play but may come down to a game-time decision.

    Team Update:

Elliott was removed from the official injury report on Wednesday, while CeeDee Lamb reportedly progressed well through the concussion protocol and remains a game-time decision. The team reported that the only step left for Lamb was an evaluation by an independent neurologist. Word may come out Thanksgiving morning but managers may need to wait until the pregame inactive list to know if Lamb will play for sure.

No new injuries were reported coming out of the Week 11 bye.

Jared Goff, QB - Doubtful Questionable

Goff missed Week 11 with an oblique injury and was limited in Monday's practice. With the Lions maintaining tradition and playing on Thanksgiving, I am assuming Tim Boyle will get another start in place of Goff.

    Team Update:

Quarterback Jared Goff is officially questionable but seems on track to play on Thanksgiving. Watch the final game-day update to make sure that he is active. Running back Jermar Jefferson is also questionable, although he is not likely to get many opportunities barring an injury ahead of him. Both Goff and Jefferson were limited in practice all week.

    Aaron Rodgers, QB

Rodgers played through a toe injury in Week 11 and should be good to go for Week 12.

    Aaron Jones, RB - Out

Jones suffered an MCL sprain and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks giving him the potential for a return in Week 12. It is, however, more likely that the Packers will aim to get Jones back after the team's Week 13 bye.

    No new injuries were reported.

    No new injuries were reported.

Jamal Agnew, WR - Injured Reserve (season-ending)

Agnew suffered a hip injury and has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2021 season.

    Week 12 Bye
    Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB

Edwards-Helaire was activated for Week 11 and got the majority of the Chiefs' running back opportunities. He should be good to go moving forward.

No new injuries were reported. Check back for updates.

No new injuries were reported. Check back for updates.

No new injuries were reported following the Week 11 bye.

    Malcolm Brown, RB - IR

Miami placed Brown on injured reserve with a quad injury and he will be out until at least Week 11.

    Will Fuller, WR - IR

Fuller is on injured reserve with a previously reported fractured finger. He is eligible to return at any time but a timeline has not been provided at this time.

    DeVante Parker, WR - IR

Parker returned from a hamstring injury to play in Week 8 but then reaggravated the injury in practice causing him to miss Week 9. The Dolphins have since placed him on injured reserve, sidelining him until at least Week 15 after the team's bye week.

    <a rel=

Did not have any new injuries to report. Check back for updates.

    No new injuries to report.

Alvin Kamara, RB - Questionable Out

Kamara was inactive in Week's 10 and 11 and remains questionable for Week 12. Kamara did not practice Tuesday.

    Mark Ingram, RB - Questionable

Ingram has not been seen at Saints' practice as of this writing and is questionable for Thanksgiving Day with a knee injury. With both Kamara and Ingram's statuses in doubt on a short week, it may be worthwhile to stash Tony Jones who was recently activated from injured reserve.

    Team Update:

Kamara has been ruled out of the Saints' Thanksgiving Day game, while Ingram remains questionable. The Saints play the Bills in the primetime game on Thursday, so look for a final ruling on Ingram late afternoon (about an hour to an hour and a half prior to kickoff).

    Saquon Barkley, RB - Questionable

Barkley returned in Week 11 after a four-week absence due to an ankle injury and seemed to be limited. He's a risky play until we see a game with good production but should be improving each week.

    Sterling Shepard, WR - Doubtful

Shepard has not been active since Week 8 and remains officially questionable for Week 12. I'm skeptical of his return but keep an eye on his practice status to know for sure.

Joe Flacco, QB and Mike White, QB - Out (COVID-19)

Both Flacco and White were placed on the COVID list. Flacco has stated that he is unvaccinated which means he may miss more than Week 12.

    Zach Wilson, QB - Questionable

Wilson left Week 7 after suffering a strained PCL in his knee but is now recovered and was named the starter for Week 12. The team suggested it was not due to their other quarterbacks landing on the COVID list so hopefully, the rookie can get his season back on track.

Michael Carter, RB - Out (2-3 weeks)

Carter, who was enjoying an increased role in the Jets' offense, will be sidelined for 2-3 weeks after suffering a high-ankle sprain. I lean toward the pessimistic side of things when it comes to high-ankle sprains so I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually misses four weeks and is limited upon his return (see Saquon Barkley this year).

    Jordan Howard, RB - Out

Howard left Week 11 with a knee sprain and is not expected to play in Week 12. A timeline for his return has not been given at this time.

    Miles Sanders, RB

Sanders returned in Week 11 for the first time since Week 7 and initially took a back seat to Jordan Howard. However, following Howard's injury, Sanders became the clear lead back and should be good to go for the rest of the season.

    Najee Harris, RB

Harris left the game for a stretch and was evaluated for a concussion. He was cleared to return, but his status should be monitored just in case there was more to his brief absence.

Chris Carson, RB - IR (season-ending)

Carson was placed on IR earlier in the season and was expected to return this season. However, he will now undergo season-ending surgery on his neck. This not only ends his 2021 season but puts serious doubt on his fantasy outlook for 2022.

    Rashaad Penny, RB - Doubtful

Penny injured his hamstring in Week 11 and should be considered doubtful for Week 12. With the Seahawks' offense struggling, I'm not sure there is a good fantasy option in this backfield.

    Elijah Mitchell, RB - Questionable

Mitchell suffered a broken finger in Week 10 and missed Week 11. The team is calling him day-to-day so watch his practices this week to see if he can return in time for Week 12.

    Antonio Brown, WR - Questionable

Brown has been absent for several weeks and continues to be questionable for Week 12.

    Julio Jones, WR - IR

Jones was placed on injured reserve and will not be eligible to return until Week 14.

    A.J. Brown, WR - Questionable

Brown was in and out of the Titans' Week 11 game and is considered questionable with a chest injury. Preliminary radiographs suggested that the injury was not serious but more information may be available in the coming days.

Marcus Johnson, WR - IR (season-ending)

Johnson had seen some increased opportunities with Julio Jones out but will now miss the remainder of the 2021 season with a hamstring injury.

    Curtis Samuel, WR - Doubtful

Samuel has missed the past few weeks with a long-standing groin injury and remains questionable for Week 12. There seems to be some pessimism that Samuel could wind up on season-ending IR soon.

    Logan Thomas, TE - IR

Thomas left during Week 4 with a hamstring injury and WFT placed him on injured reserve prior to Week 5. He is eligible to return and is expected to return to practice this week.

    Ricky Seals-Jones, TE - Questionable

Seals-Jones has been filling in for Logan Thomas but left Week 10 with a hip injury and missed Week 11. He is questionable for Week 12.

    Aaron Maberry

I am a veterinarian who has been playing fantasy football off and on since high school. About 12 years ago, I got more competitive and serious about fantasy football when I started a league with some other friends who were in vet school with me at the time. I started playing IDP about 3 years ago and have become even more obsessed with fantasy football. I have what I would call an evidence-based approach to fantasy football and love to track data in spreadsheets. I began writing for IDP Guys in the summer of 2021 and look forward to contributing to the amazing team moving forward. Thanks for reading!
