Injuries have been brutal this year and Week 12 handed us some big ones. Check out the Offensive Injury Report to find out which players will miss time.

Week 13 may be the last week of the regular season for some (hopefully not since there are byes in Week 14). Be sure you have healthy players for your playoff run by reading the Week 13 Offensive Injury Report.

Be sure to check back for updates as more information comes in.

For a quick reference tool, check out the new injury tracker that I will be updating up until kickoff.

NFL Week 13 Injury Report for Offensive Players

Chase Edmonds, RB – Injured Reserve

Edmonds suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 9 and was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 10. He will be eligible to return in Week 13 but there’s no word yet if that will come to pass.

DeAndre Hopkins, WR – Questionable

Hopkins has not played since Week 8 but the team is hopeful he can return in Week 13 following the Week 12 bye. Unfortunately, I don’t expect a lot of clarification on his status until late in the week.

Kyler Murray, QB – Questionable

Murry sprained his ankle in Week 8 and has missed every game since. He has been able to log some limited practices so hopefully, he will be able to return in Week 13. Like Hopkins, I don’t expect much concrete information until late in the week.

Calvin Ridley, WR – Reserve/NFI List

Ridley was placed on the Reserve/NFI (Non-Football Injury) list prior to Week 9 while dealing with mental health issues. The move necessitates a minimum of three weeks’ absence similar to short-term IR, but he could be done for the year. If your league allows NFI players to be placed on IR, I would strongly encourage you to do that for now until new information comes out.

No new injuries were reported in Week 12.

No new offensive injuries were reported in Week 12.

Week 13 bye
Sam Darnold, QB – Injured Reserve

Darnold was diagnosed with a fractured scapula and was placed on injured reserve. His recovery timeline was said to be 4-6 weeks but I expect that we’ve seen the last of Darnold in 2021.

Christian McCaffrey, RB – Injured Reserve (season-ending)

It’s been a rough couple of years for McCaffrey and his fantasy managers. McCaffrey rolled his ankle in Week 12 and was put on injured reserve for the second time this season. According to the league’s rules players are not eligible to return once they have been placed on injured reserve a second time. Hopefully, you hung on to Chuba Hubbard if you had him.

Justin Fields, QB – Questionable

Fields suffered what was originally diagnosed as bruised ribs in Week 11, causing him to miss Week 12. However, more recent reports are saying that Fields has “a few cracked ribs” putting his Week 13 status into question.

Tarik Cohen, RB (knee – ACL)

Remains on the PUP list.

Damien Williams, RB – Doubtful

Williams was inactive in Weeks 11 and 12 with a knee injury and I consider him to be doubtful for Week 13 as well.

Allen Robinson, WR – Doubtful

Robinson missed the last two weeks with a hamstring injury and his status remains unknown for Week 13.

No new injuries were reported.

Week 13 bye
No new injuries were reported.

Ceedee Lamb, WR – Questionable

Lamb exited Week 11 with a concussion and missed Week 12 as a result. He was a full participant in Tuesday’s practice and should clear protocol by Thursday’s Week 13 game.

Amari Cooper, WR – Doubtful (COVID-19)

Cooper missed Weeks 11 and 12 after testing positive for COVID. Head coach Mike McCarthy seemed pessimistic about Cooper’s availability for Week 13. Cooper did not practice Monday or Tuesday.

Ezekial Elliott, RB

There have been mixed messages about Elliott’s workload in Week 13. Some reports have suggested that the team would take it easy on him so that he would be healthier for a playoff run, but Elliott and team owner Jerry Jones both seem adamant that Elliott would play as normal. I’d feel more comfortable playing Tony Pollard if I had him.

Cedrick Wilson, WR – Questionable

Wilson did not practice Monday or Tuesday and is questionable for Week 13 with an ankle injury.

No new injuries were reported.

D’Andre Swift, RB – Doubtful

Swift suffered a shoulder sprain and is doubtful for Week 13. Hopefully, he will be healthy for the playoffs.

Week 13 bye
Aaron Rodgers, QB

Rodgers has been playing through a toe injury but is not expected to undergo surgery at this time.

Aaron Jones, RB

Jones was active in Week 12 but did not have as heavy a workload as he might normally. I would expect more of the same for now.

No new injuries were reported.

No new injuries were reported.

Dan Arnold, TE – Out (4-6 weeks)

Arnold sustained an MCL sprain and was placed on injured reserve. The official timeline is 4-6 weeks, which effectively ends his fantasy season.

No new injuries following the Week 12 bye.

Darren Waller, TE – Out

Waller suffered a knee injury in Week 12 that was later diagnosed as a strained iliotibial (IT) band. The IT band is basically connective tissue that runs from the hip to the lateral (outside) aspect of the knee. This injury can take several weeks to heal, but the team doesn’t seem concerned that Waller will miss extended time.

In my research, it appears that an injury to this tissue is uncommon and highly variable. It seems likely that Waller will miss Week 13 but keep an eye out for practice updates to know for sure.

No new injuries were reported. Check back for updates.

Darrell Henderson, RB – Questionable

Although Henderson finished the Rams’ Week 12 game, he apparently suffered a quad strain and may be limited in practice this week. Watch his status closely as the team may elect to rest Henderson against the Jaguars in Week 13.

Matthew Stafford, QB

Reports suggest that Stafford is dealing with some chronic issues but his availability doesn’t appear to be in jeopardy at this time.

Odell Beckham Jr., WR

Beckham appeared to injure his back in Week 12 but continued playing. Watch his practice status to see if he is able to remain active in Week 13.

Malcolm Brown, RB – IR

Brown is on IR and eligible to return but a timeline hasn’t been given at this time.

Will Fuller, WR – IR

Fuller is on injured reserve with a previously reported fractured finger. He is eligible to return at any time but a timeline has not been provided at this time. Head coach Brian Flores indicated that Fuller would not be back this week.

DeVante Parker, WR – IR

Parker returned from a hamstring injury to play in Week 8 but then reaggravated the injury in practice causing him to miss Week 9. The Dolphins have since placed him on injured reserve, sidelining him until at least Week 15 after the team’s bye week.

<a rel=

Dalvin Cook, RB – Out

Cook left Week 12 early with a shoulder injury later revealed to be dislocation and torn labrum. He will likely miss multiple weeks but his status will have to continue to be monitored in the coming weeks.

No new injuries to report.

Alvin Kamara, RB – Questionable

Kamara was inactive in Weeks 10 through 12 and is questionable for Thursday. He was able to log limited practices on Monday and Tuesday, so hopefully, he is close to returning. Expect him to be a game-day decision.

Mark Ingram, RB – Questionable

Ingram was a full participant both Monday and Tuesday after missing Week 12 with a knee injury. He should be able to play in Week 13 but be sure to follow his status on game day.

Taysom Hill, QB

Hill has had a foot injury which may have been keeping him from starting over Trevor Siemian. A starter for Thursday has not been named yet, but Hill has been taking first-team reps this week.

Daniel Jones, QB – Doubtful

Jones finished Week 12 but suffered a strained neck that seems likely to keep him out of Week 13.

Sterling Shepard, WR – Questionable

Shepard has not been active since Week 8 and remains officially questionable for Week 13. I’m skeptical of his return but keep an eye on his practice status to know for sure.

Kadarius Toney, WR – Questionable

Toney missed Week 12 with a quad injury and is questionable for Week 13.

Joe Flacco, QB and Mike White, QB – Out (COVID-19)

Both Flacco and White were placed on the COVID list. Flacco is expected to return to practice this week but it remains to be seen if he would get the start over rookie Zach Wilson.

Michael Carter, RB – IR

Carter was initially expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a high ankle sprain but has since been placed on injured reserve. I lean toward the pessimistic side of things when it comes to high-ankle sprains so I wouldn’t be surprised if he eventually misses four weeks and is limited upon his return (see Saquon Barkley this year).

Jordan Howard, RB – Out

Howard left Week 11 with a knee sprain and is not expected to play in Week 12. A timeline for his return has not been given at this time.

Jalen Hurts, QB – Questionable

Hurts apparently has a sore ankle and is questionable for Week 13.

Pat Freiermuth, TE – Questionable

The rookie tight end was placed in the concussion protocol. As we have seen, players frequently miss a game following a concussion.

Rashaad Penny, RB – Doubtful

Penny injured his hamstring in Week 11 and missed Week 12. I would consider huim doubtful for Week 13.

Deebo Samuel, WR – Out (1-2 weeks)

Samuel suffered a groin injury and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks. This would likely mean an increase in fantasy value for Brandon Aiyuk as well as Jauan Jennings.

Antonio Brown, WR – Questionable

Brown has been absent for several weeks and continues to be questionable for Week 13.

Week 13 bye
Julio Jones, WR – IR

Jones was placed on injured reserve and will not be eligible to return until Week 14.

A.J. Brown, WR – Questionable

Brown was placed on injured reserve with a chest injury ahead of Week 12 meaning he will not be eligible to return until Week 16 due to the Titans’ Week 13 bye.

Curtis Samuel, WR

Samuel returned to the lineup in Week 12 but did not see many opportunities.

J.D. McKissic, RB – Doubtful

McKissic suffered what appeared to be a head injury late in Week 12. There was no update at the time of writing for his Week 13 status.

Aaron Maberry

I am a veterinarian who has been playing fantasy football off and on since high school. About 12 years ago, I got more competitive and serious about fantasy football when I started a league with some other friends who were in vet school with me at the time. I started playing IDP about 3 years ago and have become even more obsessed with fantasy football. I have what I would call an evidence-based approach to fantasy football and love to track data in spreadsheets. I began writing for IDP Guys in the summer of 2021 and look forward to contributing to the amazing team moving forward. Thanks for reading!
