The playoffs are upon us! If you made the playoffs, congratulations and good luck the next few weeks. Let’s pour one out for the teams that missed the cut and get right into the Week 15 Injury Report.

Be sure to check back for updates as more information comes in.

For a quick reference tool, check out the new injury tracker that I will be updating up until kickoff.

NFL Week 15 Injury Report for Offensive Players

Chase Edmonds, RB – Injured Reserve/Questionable

Edmonds suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 9 and seemed to be close to returning in Week 14 but was not activated for the Cardinals’ Monday Night game. I expect he will be activated for Week 15, but seems destined for a split workload after James Conner has proved effective the past few weeks.

DeAndre Hopkins, WR – Questionable Out

There was an alert from an app that suggested Hopkins was limping on the sideline during Monday’s game, but I have not found an official report as of this writing. Keep an eye on Hopkins’ practice status this week.

Team Update:

DeAndre Hopkins was diagnosed with a torn MCL in his knee and will undergo surgery. He’s expected to miss six weeks, making him droppable in redraft leagues. Meanwhile, both James Conner and Chase Edmonds are expected, but not guaranteed, to play Sunday and tight end Zach Ertz is questionable with a hamstring injury.

Calvin Ridley, WR – Reserve/NFI List

Ridley was placed on the Reserve/NFI (Non-Football Injury) list prior to Week 9 while dealing with mental health issues. There has been very little information the past few weeks and I doubt we see Ridley the rest of the year.

Lamar Jackson, QB – Questionable

Jackson suffered an ankle sprain in Week 14 leaving his Week 15 status in serious doubt. Even if active, it’s a little scary starting a running quarterback on an injured ankle.

Team Update:

Jackson did not practice all week and is officially listed as questionable. I expect him to miss Week 15, but the team is not going to rule him out until they have to so be sure to have a backup plan if you’re holding out hope, especially with the Ravens playing in the afternoon window. Wide receiver Marquise Brown returned to practice but was limited with an illness and is also questionable. I expect he’ll play, but watch for a game-time decision.

Emmanuel Sanders, WR – Doubtful

Sanders suffered a knee sprain is likely out for Week 15 according to head coach Sean McDermott.

Josh Allen, QB – Questionable

Allen suffered a foot sprain in Week 14 and will likely be limited in practice this week. He seems likely to be able to play in Week 15 but I would highly encourage you to have a backup plan just in case.

Team Update:

Allen was a full participant to end the week and is not listed on the final injury report. He may be hindered by his foot injury but he will be active so he’ll almost certainly be in your lineup. Emmanuel Sanders is still listed as doubtful and is not expected to play.

Sam Darnold, QB – Injured Reserve

Darnold was diagnosed with a fractured scapula and was placed on injured reserve. His recovery timeline was said to be 4-6 weeks but I expect that we’ve seen the last of Darnold in 2021.

D.J. Moore, WR – Questionable

Moore suffered a hamstring injury but played through it in Week 14. Monitor his practice status this week to make sure he is available.

Team Update:

D.J. Moore remains questionable with a limited practice to end the week. He’ll likely be a game-time decision.

Justin Fields, QB – Questionable

Fields continued to battle through the rib injury that had kept him sidelined previously, but picked up an injury in his non-throwing hand which necessitated an x-ray. He remains questionable at this point of the week.

Team Update:

Fields was a full participant and appears on track to play. However, the Bears don’t play until Monday Night, so an official game designation won’t be available until Sunday.

No new injuries reported.

Kareem Hunt, RB – Doubtful Out

Hunt suffered an ankle injury and is unlikely to play on Saturday. Yes, that’s right, The Browns play the Raiders on Saturday afternoon while the Patriots and the Colts play in primetime on Saturday. Hunt will hopefully be able to return next week but I would not be surprised if he misses more than just Week 15.

COVID-19 Players

Austin Hooper (TE), Jarvis Landry (WR), JoJo Natson (WR), and several offensive line members were added to the COVID-19 list on Tuesday. David Njoku (TE) missed Week 14 on the COVID list and may or may not be able to clear protocol in time. This situation bears monitoring not only for the players already listed on the COVID list but due to the risk that other players may end up on the list prior to Saturday.

Team Update:

The Browns game against the Raiders was postponed to Monday afternoon due to COVID concerns. Kareem Hunt has been ruled out, while the many players on the reserve/COVID list remain questionable. I’d try to stay away from any Browns players if possible as there could continue to be additions to the COVID list over the weekend.

Tony Pollard, RB – Questionable

Pollard missed Week 14 with a foot injury and remains questionable for Week 15.

Team Update:

Pollard was a limited participant to end the week and is still considered questionable for this week.

Melvin Gordon, RB – Probable

Gordon returned in Week 14 from a hip injury but suffered a thumb injury that did not appear to limit him. He should have his normal role in Week 15.

Team Update:

Gordon and fellow running back Javonte Williams were both limited in practice to end the week and are both questionable. I expect them both to play but watch for game-day updates.

D’Andre Swift, RB – Questionable Out

Swift suffered a shoulder sprain and missed Week 13 and Week 14. He seems to be getting closer to a return but keep an eye on his practice involvement to be sure.

T.J. Hockenson, TE – Questionable IR (Season-ending)

Hockenson missed Week 14 with a hand injury and remains questionable for Week 15.

Team Update:

D’Andre Swift was ruled out for Week 15 with a shoulder injury and T.J. Hockenson will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing thumb surgery. Swift’s injury is especially concerning for fantasy managers since the Lions aren’t going to the playoffs and may decide to shut Swift down for the year.

Aaron Rodgers, QB

Rodgers has been playing through a toe injury but is not expected to undergo surgery at this time. Reports surfaced suggesting Rodgers had suffered a setback, but he seems confident that he will be able to continue to play despite being limited in practice.

Aaron Jones, RB

Jones has been active but the past few weeks but the Packers seem to be easing him back slowly and are content to allow teammate A.J. Dillon to carry the larger load.

Team Update:

Jones and Rodgers were both removed from the team’s final injury report despite Rodgers being listed as a non-participant all week. There isn’t much concern as the veteran Rodgers is one of the few quarterbacks in the league that can perform as usual without practicing.

No new injuries were reported.

There were no new injuries following the Week 14 bye.

Team Update:

Running back Carlos Hyde has been ruled out with a concussion. The Jaguars are still likely to use multiple backs but this news, combined with the firing of one-year head coach Urban Meyer should give some hope to managers of James Robinson.

There were no new offensive injuries reported in Week 14.

Darren Waller, TE – Doubtful Out

Waller missed Week 13 and Week 14 with a previously reported injury and was listed as a non-participant in Tuesday’s practice. I’m skeptical of his return in time for Saturday’s Week 15 game against the Browns.

Team Update:

Waller has been ruled out of Week 15, despite the move from Saturday to Monday. Hunter Renfrow once again looks like a good wide receiver play.

Keenan Allen, WR

Allen was activated from the COVID list and should be a full go for Thursday night.

Austin Ekeler, RB and Mike Williams, WR

Ekeler and Willams were both limited on Tuesday but are expected to play Thursday night.

Darrell Henderson, RB – Questionable

Henderson appeared to be on track to truly return from his quad injury in Week 14 only to land on the COVID-19 list causing him to miss last week’s Monday night game. Henderson should be able to clear protocol in time for Week 15 but watch for updates.

Odell Beckham, WR – Doubtful (COVID-19)

Beckham was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and is likely to miss Week 15. Meanwhile, tight end Tyler Higbee was activated from the COVID list after missing Week 14 with a false positive.

Team Update:

It might be shorter for me to list the players who aren’t on the COVID list for the Rams. As of Friday, a total of 25 players were on the reserve/COVID list including Odell Beckham, Darrell Henderson, Tyler Higbee, and several key IDP players. Their game with the Seahawks has been moved to Tuesday night which is good for keeping the game played in Week 15, but makes things risky for fantasy managers hoping to play any of the Rams’ players in the first week of playoffs.

Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed, Phillip Lindsay, RBs (COVID-19)

All three of the Dolphins’ primary running backs were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and are in jeopardy of missing Week 15.

Malcolm Brown, RB – IR

Brown is expected to resume practice this week after missing several weeks with a quad injury. He very well could be the last back standing if he is activated in time for Week 15.

Will Fuller, WR – IR

Fuller is on injured reserve with a previously reported fractured finger. He is eligible to return at any time but a timeline has not been provided at this time. He is not expected to practice this week.

DeVante Parker, WR – IR

Parker returned from a hamstring injury to play in Week 8 but then reaggravated the injury in practice causing him to miss Week 9. The Dolphins have since placed him on injured reserve, sidelining him until at least Week 15 after the team’s bye week.

Team Update:

Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was placed on the reserve/COVID list and will in all likelihood miss Week 15 while running backs Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed were activated from the list.

<a rel=

Adam Thielen, WR – Doubtful

Thielen suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 13 and missed Week 14. I expect him to ultimately miss 2-4 weeks and have reduced efficiency in his first game back.

Team Update:

Thielen has not practiced and will likely be a game-time decision for Monday Night’s game against the Bears. He’s risky at best even if he does play on his bad ankle.

Damien Harris, RB – Questionable Out

Harris left Week 13 with a hamstring injury and was limited in Tuesday’s practice. He is questionable for the Patriots’ Saturday game against the Colts.

Team Update:

Harris was downgraded to out on Friday with a hamstring injury giving a bump to Rhamondre Stevenson.

No new injuries were reported.

Daniel Jones, QB – Doubtful

Jones finished Week 12 but suffered a strained neck that kept him out of Weeks 13 and 14. He is unlikely to play in Week 15 and may be done for the season.

Sterling Shepard, WR – Questionable

Shepard has not been active since Week 8 and remains officially questionable for Week 14. I’m skeptical of his return but keep an eye on his practice status to know for sure.

Kadarius Toney, WR – Doubtful (COVID-19)

Toney missed Weeks 12, 13, and 14 with a quad injury and has now been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list due to a positive test. He is likely to miss Week 15.

Team Update:

Daniel Jones has been ruled out (I think he may be done for the year, but it’s not official) and Mike Glennon has been named the starter. However, there are multiple rumblings suggesting that Jake Fromm may be the eventual quarterback for the Giants this season. Meanwhile, Sterling Shephard remains questionable and will be a game-time decision with his calf injury.

Michael Carter, RB – Questionable (IR)

Carter is eligible to return from a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 11 and is expected to do so according to the team.

Elijah Moore, WR – IR

Moore was placed on injured reserve due to a quad injury prior to Week 14 and will be eligible to return Week 17 (championship week for most).

Team Update:

Michael Carter is still on track to play Week 15 while fellow running back Tevin Coleman logged a pair of full practices and may be able to return from a concussion. Head coach Robert Saleh stated that he expected Carter to have a significant role this week so there is help that the rookie can give managers some late-season value.

Jordan Howard, RB – Questionable

Howard left Week 11 with a knee sprain and missed the past two weeks. The team is hoping that he can return following the bye week but we will have to watch for updates this week.

Jalen Hurts, QB

Hurts was quickly named the Week 15 starter after missing Week 13 with an ankle injury allowing “Minshew Magic” to make a resurgence.

Miles Sanders, RB – Questionable

Sanders left Week 13 with an ankle injury and will likely be questionable for Week 15 following the bye.

Team Update:

Jalen Hurts logged a full practice on Friday after being limited this week, putting him on track to play in the Eagles’ postponed Tuesday Night game. Running backs Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard are both expected to play this week as well although the official designations won’t be available until Monday.

No new offensive injuries were reported.

Team Update:

The Seahawks’ game has been postponed to Tuesday night due to COVID concerns, mostly on the Rams. However, the Seahawks did place wide receiver Tyler Lockett and running back Alex Collins on the reserve/COVID list. They may be able to clear protocol by Tuesday, but it will be risky to rely on either player. Meanwhile, wide receiver DK Metcalf returned to practice Friday after a pair of missed practices earlier in the week.

Elijah Mitchell, RB – Questionable Out

Mitchell missed Week 14 with a knee injury and a concussion. He remains questionable for Week 15, but it appears that if he misses more time the beneficiaries will be Jeff Wilson and Deebo Samuel.

Team Update:

Mitchell will miss Week 15 and is in jeopardy of missing Week 16 as well due to swelling in his injured knee. Tight end George Kittle missed practice early in the week with knee soreness but returned to a full practice by Friday and is not listed on the team’s final injury report.

Antonio Brown, WR – Out (three-game suspension)

Brown was suspended for three games for falsifying his COVID-19 vaccination card. His earliest eligible return is Week 16.

Team Update:

Leonard Fournette missed some practice time this week but returned to practice Friday and is expected to play in Week 15. His official status is questionable so it would be a good idea to have Ronald Jones if available just in case.

A.J. Brown, WR – IR

Brown was placed on injured reserve with a chest injury ahead of Week 12 meaning he will not be eligible to return until Week 16 due to the Titans’ Week 13 bye.

Logan Thomas, TE – IR (season-ending)

Thomas suffered a knee injury that was feared to be a torn ACL and after some false hope, it has been confirmed that Thomas did indeed tear an ACL, ending his season.

J.D. McKissic, RB – Questionable

McKissic missed Week 13 and 14 with a concussion and remains questionable for Week 15.

Terry McLaurin, WR – Questionable

McLaurin is in the league’s concussion protocol and is questionable for Week 15. As we have seen, most players miss at least one game following a concussion but watch his status late in the week to know for sure.

Taylor Heinicke, QB – Probable

Heinicke suffered a knee injury in Week 14 but is expected to be active in Week 15.

Team Update:

The Football Team’s game has been postponed to Tuesday, so their official injury designations are not yet available. The latest practice reports as of this writing list both J.D. McKissick and Curtis Samuel as non-participants while Terry McLaurin was limited. I’m doubtful McKissick plays but it looks like McLaurin will be available.

Unfortunately, the quarterback situation is up in the air with Taylor Heinicke added to the COVID list and in danger of missing Week 15. Kyle Allen (COVID) will be the team’s starter assuming he clears protocol in time for Tuesday’s game. The uncertainty of the players’ statuses combined with the game being the last on the slate make any questionable Football Teamer extremely risky this week.

I am a veterinarian who has been playing fantasy football off and on since high school. About 12 years ago, I got more competitive and serious about fantasy football when I started a league with some other friends who were in vet school with me at the time. I started playing IDP about 3 years ago and have become even more obsessed with fantasy football. I have what I would call an evidence-based approach to fantasy football and love to track data in spreadsheets. I began writing for IDP Guys in the summer of 2021 and look forward to contributing to the amazing team moving forward. Thanks for reading!
