Offensive Sleepers: Week 16 Edition

It can be hard to find sleepers each week. Let’s take a look at some players who could produce in the offensive sleepers Week 16 edition!

If there is a last-minute injury, you may need to scramble to find a player to substitute. That is when this weekly article on offensive sleepers comes in handy. I use Sleeper's rostered percentage before the Thursday night game to look for offensive sleepers and use anyone under 35% rostered.

We have reached the playoffs and with all the COVID positives, playoff lineups may need some deep sleepers, so check out the Week 16 edition of Offensive Sleepers.

Week 15 I had a very solid week with three out of four sleepers beating their projection. Davis Mills beat out his projection by 15 spots and Zay Jones outproduced by 44 spots. For the season sleepers have beat projections 28 out of 56 times (50%) and 10 of those 28 sleepers outscored their projection by 20 spots.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR, Cleveland Browns - 32.2% Rostered

It looks as if Jarvis Landry may be able to suit up Saturday against the Packers as his quarantine period expires on Friday. Even so, the Browns will have to keep pace with the Packers, and Peoples-Jones has received 15 targets the last two games and received over 90% snap share. He has the speed to be able to come up with big plays that the Browns and your depleted fantasy roster may very much need.

Justin Jackson, RB, Los Angeles Chargers - 9.4% Rostered

It looks as if the Chargers will be without Austin Ekeler this week so the next man up looks to be Justin Jackson. Last week against the Chiefs, even with Ekeler playing, Jackson saw 13 carries for 86 yards. This week the Chargers face the Houston Texans who give up the fourth-highest fantasy points to running backs in the league. If Covid has hit your team hard, Jackson is someone that should be available.

Tyler Johnson, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 5.8% Rostered

The Buccaneers are looking to bounce back against the Panthers this week but will be without receiver Chris Godwin who is out for the year and may be without Mike Evans also. So who is going to step up? I believe Tyler Johnson could be in for a big opportunity as he saw a 95% snap share last week and saw seven targets from Tom Brady. In the past Brady has relied on Johnson, so he could be a sneaky play.

Laquon Treadwell, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars - 2.2% Rostered

The Jaguars' offense has not been good this season but there still is some fantasy value for those in desperate need with all the Covid positives this week. Laviska Shenault was just put on the list, so that makes Treadwell an even better play. In the past 4 games, he has over 80% snap share and 28 targets, and the Jaguars face the Jets this week which is not a bad matchup.

Conclusion

Those are my top offensive sleeper candidates going into the Week 16 of the NFL season. With Covid protocols, you never know when someone is not going to be inactive on game day. These offensive sleepers could help you fill in your starting lineups for your playoff matchup.
