The trade deadline is here and teams are doing the midseason scramble. Lets see some newcomers via winning starting gigs or trades who are adds following week eight.

The trade deadline is upon us and we have some faces moving to new places. Leonard Williams has been traded to the Giants but I am waiting before I decide to add him. Genard Avery is on the move to the Eagles but I am holding out on him as well. Michael Bennett has been traded to the Cowboys and should form a nice rotation with Robert Quinn. I am still sitting on Bennett for a bit. Instead there are some players who have been unleashed who are my top IDP adds this week, lets take a look.

Patrick Peterson - Cornerback Arizona Cardinals

2019 Stats: 13 Tackles (12 solo), one sack, one pass defensed, one interception and a forced fumble.

Patrick Peterson was suspended for the first six games of the season. Since he has returned he has been one of the most productive corners in all of fantasy football. His first game back he finished with seven tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. He followed that up with six tackles, one pass defensed and an interception. The Cardinals have a very cornerback friendly schedule moving forward and Peterson can be a nice addition to finish off the season.

Grant Haley - Cornerback New York Giants

2019 Stats: 37 Tackles (30 solo), three tackles for a loss and a sack.

Grant Haley has been very productive over the past three games for the Giants. Over those games he has 20 tackles and a sack for the Giants and has really been their best defensive back dating even back to last season. Haley is averaging just under seven tackles per game over the last three games and that is huge from the corner position. Haley as well has a great remaining schedule and would be a nice addition to your roster for the fantasy playoffs.

Maxx Crosby - Defensive End Oakland Raiders

2019 Stats: 17 Tackles (13 solo), four tackles for a loss, two sacks, two passes defensed and two forced fumbles.

The Raiders made their prized selection at number six overall of the 2019 NFL draft with Clelin Ferrell. He was supposed to be the teams next great pass rusher and has played pretty well. Maxx Crosby was the teams 4th round pick at 106th overall and he has outplayed his teammate and first round selection. In his last three games he has eight tackles (six in week eight), four tackles for a loss and three sacks. Crosby has the potential to make an impact on your roster for the playoff push.

Tavon Wilson - Safety Detroit Lions

2019 Stats: 27 Tackles (23 solo), two tackles for a loss, one pass defensed and a fumble recovery.

Tavon Wilson has averaged playing on 68.75% of the teams defensive snaps over the last four games and that includes a weird 25% in week seven. The Lions traded Quandre Diggs to the Seahawks opening up ,more playing time at the strong safety position. Since Wilson's uptick in playing in those last four games he has averaged six tackles per game. Wilson has already seen his BYE week go passed and has a friendly remaining schedule. Wilson is a very usable asset on waiver wires.

Austin Calitro - Linebacker Jacksonville Jaguars

2019 Stats: Seven Tackles (five solo) and one tackle for a loss. (one game)

I was a big fan of what I saw from Austin Calitro in his limited time last season when K.J. Wright was out. The Jaguars drafted Quincy Williams this season in hopes he could fill Telvin Smith's position but he has not played well at all. Actually he has been quite terrible at tackling. Najee Goode was the next man up but then he got injured. Enter Austin Calitro who played on 82% of the teams snaps in week eight and came away with seven tackles. Calitro could be the starter in Jacksonville moving forward and is worth an add.

    Conclusion

Patrick Peterson has returned from suspension and has been incredibly productive at corner as well as Grant Haley who has been the best corner in New York. Maxx Crosby has been the unlikely best defensive end for the Raiders this season and is worth a deep add. Tavon Wilson is enjoying more playing time with the departure of Quandre Diggs. He is seeing a healthy chunk of snaps and has been tackling at a very productive rate. Austin Calitro is a youngster who always had promise and has outlived numerous injuries to finally get his chance. All are IDP adds after week eight, let's go get those titles boys.
