Who Are The Top Quarterback ADP Risers In July 2021?

As we enter July, that means we are one month closer to the start of the NFL season. That also means dynasty rookie drafts are ramping up. With more dynasty owners starting to evaluate their teams and decide if they are a contender or not this season, I'm going to tell you who the top quarterback ADP risers are from June to July. This is based on IDPGUYS ADP.

Top 5 QB Risers In July

-Tom Brady July QB Ranking 24

-Sam Darnold July QB Ranking 23

-Jalen Hurts July QB Ranking 17

-Joe Burrow July QB Ranking 8

-Ryan Tannehill July QB Ranking 13

Let's start off with the G.O.A.T. The Tampa Bay Bucs bringing back all of the offensive starters for the 2021-2022 season. So it doesn't shock me that Brady has seen the biggest rise in ADP from June to July among quarterbacks. In March Brady and the Bucs agreed to a one-year extension, keeping him in Tampa Bay through the 2022-2023 season. However, there are rumors of Tom Brady possibly retiring after this season. If he wins another Super Bowl, it wouldn't shock me to see him retire on top. If you are a contending dynasty team and need a quarterback to get you over the top, Tom Brady is someone who I would look at acquiring.

Next, let's look at the Carolina Panthers' new quarterback, Sam Darnold. Sam saw the second biggest rise in ADP from June to July. He was traded from the New York Jets to Carolina to replace Teddy Bridgewater, who was traded to the Denver Broncos. One person who is high on Darnold in Carolina is current and former teammate Robby Anderson. Here's what he said about the difference he sees in Sam since arriving in Carolina.

"Anderson told reporters that he doesn’t see the same player he played with in 2018 and 2019."

“When I walked in the building I could see a new energy out of him, like a glow, charisma that I didn’t really see in New York,” Anderson said, via David Newton of ESPN.com. “I can definitely see the difference in him so far. . . . You know when a person can see like a glow, energy, their aura? I could kind of see that when I walked in the building.”

If this translates to the regular season, those of you who traded for Sam in dynasty leagues should be very excited. I traded for him in one of my dynasty leagues, 2QB, and I'm looking forward to seeing how he progresses through the off-season.

Third on the list is second-year quarterback, Jalen Hurts. He is taking over for Carson Wentz, who was traded to the Indianapolis Colts. Hurts is a dual-threat quarterback and gets to throw to his former college teammate DeVonta Smith. To this point, the Eagles haven't "officially" named Hurts the starter. However, based on the other quarterbacks on the roster, I don't see how he won't be the week 1 starter. With a full off-season, Hurts should be much improved in 2021-2022. Based on the ADP, it looks like more people are getting behind Hurts in dynasty, which isn't a bad idea.

The 2020 number one overall rookie pick, Joe Burrow, comes in next. He was off to a great start in his rookie season. Then he tore his MCL and ACL in December. When his rookie season ended, he had 2,688 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. Through the first 10 weeks of last season, he was quarterback 16. Joe Burrow says he expects to be fully healthy for week 1 and continues to work on his deep-ball accuracy. I'm excited to see how this translates on the field and how much better Burrow can be with former college teammate Ja'Marr Chase. I'm shocked he didn't see a higher jump in ADP.

Lastly, is Ryan Tannehill. I still feel like people are very low on the Titans signal-caller, who finished last season as QB #8. Even with a top ten finish, I think a lot of that has to do with two-time rushing champion, Derrick Henry. Will the Titans' offense become a little more balanced with the addition of Julio Jones? Here is what the Titans OC said.

Julio Jones will be replacing Corey Davis. So that instantly should improve Ryan Tannehill's overall numbers for the upcoming season. Tannehill is another quarterback for dynasty owners, who are contending, to consider adding in the pursuit of a championship. Hopefully, these five players answered the question of who the top quarterbacks are that have risen from June to July.
