Sports Betting Matchups To Target For Week 9.

We are now going into the second half of the 2020 season and NFL sports bets fans have a pretty good idea of who the good teams are and who's not. If you're a first-time sports bettor then starting at this point in the season is a great option. Also, be sure to take a look at the NFL moneyline odds for week 9. In this article, I'm going to suggest a couple of games sports bettors should be targeting. The spreads below are per ESPN and Sports Betting DIme.

Green Bay Packers (-5.5) vs San Francisco 49ers

Here's why I like Green Bay: This game kicks off the week 9 NFL sports bets schedule. Both teams are coming off of losses, but the San Francisco 49ers are the team that is really feeling the impact of last week's loss. The 49ers will be starting a backup quarterback and tight end on offense for the foreseeable future after losing Jimmy Garoppolo and George Kittle to injury. Due to this along with the Packers still having playoff expectations, I think Green Bay will come out strong in this one. It wouldn't surprise me if the Packers win by more than 5.5 points.

Chicago Bears vs Tennessee Titans (-5.5)

Here's why I like Tennessee: On paper, this game looks like a great matchup between two teams who have playoff aspirations. However, if you have watched these two teams over the first half of the season then you know one team stands out in this matchup. The Titans have better skill players and I think that will prevail in this game. Derrick Henry should once again have a busy Sunday. I just don't trust the Bears and I think they will continue to show that they aren't a good winning football team. It wouldn't shock me much to see this line come down slightly given the records of these two teams.

Houston Texans (-7) vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Here's why I like Houston: On paper, this looks like a bad bad divisional matchup and one that you might ask why would I watch this? Well if you are a sports bettor then this is one you might want to place a bet on. The only things these two teams have in common are their record (1-6) and that they play in the same division. The Texans have the more veteran team and the Jags will be starting a backup quarterback. Anytime a backup quarterback starts then I like to take the team with a veteran quarterback. Give me the Texans in this matchup with ease and I wouldn't be shocked if they win by double digits. This is a great game to place your sports bets on.

Conclusion

At the time of writing this article, there are four games with a line of -3 or less. This means there are a lot of good sports betting matchups for week 9. From a sports betting standpoint, I would rank these three games as follows. The Houston Texans, the Green Bay Packers, and the Tennessee Titans. Please remember to bet responsibly and enjoy the NFL games in week 9.
