Wil is back with his Week 4 Betting Lines for Thursday Night Football!

Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals (7.5) (O/U 46)

There weren’t many expectations for the Jaguars coming into this season, but after three games, I expect them to have a top-three pick in next year’s draft. They have been underwhelming this season. The Jags go into this game against a Bengals team that is stout on defense and have a few weapons on the offensive side.

Jacksonville

The Jaguars haven’t had much to offer on either side of the ball prior to Week 4. They had a nine-point lead against the Arizona Cardinals late in the third quarter and managed to let Arizona score 21 unanswered points to win the game 31-19. Urban Meyer seems to be over his head as the head coach in Jacksonville.

If he’s not already, he should be one of the coaches on the hot seat. None of the games the Jaguars have played this season have been close. The number one overall pick in last year’s draft, Trevor Lawrence, has been struggling. He threw an interception in each of the three games he has played, with a total of seven for the season.

Cincinnati

Cincinnati’s defense is ranked sixth for points allowed in the NFL. They couldn’t have asked for a better match-up this Thursday night facing the 27th overall offense in the Jaguars. I’m sure Joe Mixon probably had this game circled on his calendar, considering the last time they played each other, he had 181 total yards from the line of scrimmage and three TDs.

Rookie WR, Ja’Marr Chase, comes into this game as the NFL Rookie of the Month for September. I expect the Bengals to have a good showing on the stat sheet after this game.

Conclusion

All signs point to the Bengals winning this game effortlessly and convincingly. Initially, I was going to stay away from betting on this game, but I wouldn’t feel right waking up Friday morning if I hadn’t. I like the Bengals to win their second straight game and hand the Jaguars their fourth straight loss of the season. I’ve already placed a wager on this game and will be live betting it as well.

Cincinnati -7.5
