    Hottest Second-Year Defensive Linemen

    Aidan Hutchinson

He ended the 2022 regular season as a solid DL1/DE1 in most "balanced" IDP scoring formats. Hutchinson led the rookie edge rusher class in fantasy football leagues and performed well above what could be expected from a first-year player, even if he was the second overall NFL defensive lineman selected in the draft.

Finishing out the latter half of the season as it began, the Lions' first-round defensive end, Aidan Hutchinson, didn't let up. He assisted his team to a run in the playoffs with a strong run when they needed it most.

    Travon Walker

Walker ended the 2022 regular season as a solid DL2/DE2 in most "balanced" IDP scoring formats. Sliding in the top three among the rookie defensive ends and defensive linemen. George Karlaftis

Karlaftis ended the 2022 regular season as DL2/DE2 in most "balanced" IDP scoring formats, sliding in the top three among the 2022 rookie NFL defensive linemen with a late push at the end of the season. Hence, it left a dynasty sore spot for some managers that dropped him to waivers early on.

After a slow start in IDP production, the Karlaftis came on strong toward the end, making the final push for this top list by finally hitting home with all the QB pressures he had been getting. He also stabilized his low total tackle floor to the point we have to take notice again. Even with a poor PFF performance (52.0) this regular season.

Karlaftis' in-season development secured all the upside we needed to see to project a big step is coming in 2023. ... (Read More)
