Dynasty Wide Receiver Sleepers for 2022

There are a ton of wide receivers with the potential to finish inside the top 20 and better. Who are the BEST dynasty wide receiver sleepers?

There is so much talent at the wide receiver position. A few guys have been hindered by injuries and some guys have been disrespected for their size or even the offense that they are in.

There are three sleeper receivers that can make an impact and have shown signs of that in recent years — sleeper receivers with WR2 production and upside for WR1 production.

Curtis Samuel, Washington Commanders

Curtis Samuel has not had the best of luck so far in his five seasons in the NFL. Starting out on the Carolina Panthers back in 2017, Samuel produced one productive fantasy season in 2020. In that year, he finished as WR24 in full PPR leagues. Samuel was a WR2 and producing in the rushing game too as he had over 41 rush attempts with 200 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Samuel was used just like the other Samuel — Deebo from the 49ers. There is only one Deebo, but seeing him produce like that left a lot of fantasy players hopeful. Fast forward now, Samuel went to the Washington Football Team, now the Washington Commanders. In just one season, he has fallen off with a hamstring injury and has become one of the best buys in dynasty football.

At just 25 years old, Samuel still is at the peak of his career and is one of five wide receivers to have 40 plus rush attempts in a season.

Curtis is the WR56 according to fantasypros.com dynasty rankings and that makes him a great buy target seeing his last full season being healthy.

 

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, Baltimore Ravens

One of the most disrespected receivers in the NFL. Marquise Brown is 5'9, 180 pounds. A little undersized but nonetheless, Hollywood is a must-have in dynasty fantasy football. Brown just posted his first 1,000-yard season and is CLOSE to a franchise quarterback, Lamar Jackson. Having him in dynasty is a very good decision as Brown has the ability to take the top off the defense every play.

The best part is that he is not the first option in the Ravens' offense. Also, with Rashad Bateman showing signs of being a viable option, it leaves more room for Hollywood to move in the field. This past season, Brown finished as the WR22 and posted the first 1,000-yard season by a receiver in Ravens history since 2016.

Brown had the 10th most targets in 2021 with 146, and fantasy football is all about volume. Hollywood is heading in the direction of a wide receiver that is a sneaky buy-low candidate.

 

Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears

Darnell Mooney established a beautiful connection with the future of the Chicago Bears, Justin Fields. Investing in Darnell Mooney is like investing in Dogecoin in January 2021. It might end up being awful, but the ROI (return on investment) can be massive.

Mooney saw the 11th most targets in a season where not only Fields was throwing the ball to him but also Andy Dalton for some time. He also took full advantage of Allen Robinson falling off the face of the earth. With the mess that the Bears offense was in 2021, Mooney took full advantage and finished as the WR23. He posted the eight highest yards per catch average too in 2021.

The rapport with the assumed QB1 of the Bears in 2022, Justin Fields, is there. Darnell Mooney looks to pick that right back up and become a set-it-and-forget-it starter in all aspects of fantasy football.
