Week 5 of college football is over, and we are looking forward. Let’s take a look at some offensive NCAA Waiver Adds for Week 6.

Weekly, I will provide NCAA Waiver Adds for offensive players who are rostered under 50%, according to Fantrax. The goal of these articles is to give insight into both College Fantasy Redraft and Campus to Canton (C2C) leagues. Let’s take a look at some players to check for your league’s waiver wire!

Disclaimer: All league sizes and formats are different, so some of these players may or may not be available in your league.

Quarterbacks

Payton Thorne, Michigan State – 22% rostered

Week 4 Stat Line: 327 passing yds, 1 TD, 0 interceptions; 31 rushing yds, 1 rush TD

Quarterbacks on the waiver wire are getting more scarce, but Thorne has shown that he is a solid starter. He had over 26 fantasy points in three of the last four games and this past game showed it is not just TD-dependent. The Michigan State offense is better than most thought it would be and, with Thorne, only a Sophomore could be a solid player to the roster in C2C format.

Tiyon Evans, Tennessee – 9% rostered

Week 4 Stat Line: 156 rushing yds, 3 TDs

Tennesee has been up and down so far this season but Evans has been a bright spot. He has scored double-digit fantasy points in all four games this season. Evans has at least 15 carries in three of four games so he is getting a consistent workload and is a solid player to have for a bye-week fill-in or to play at your flex position.

Wide Receivers

Mitchell Tinsley, Western Kentucky – 5% rostered

Week 4 Stat Line:  148 receiving yds, 2 TDs

Tinsley has scored double-digits in all four games this year and had his best game this week against Michigan State. Western Kentucky is throwing the ball almost 71% of the time, so there is plenty of opportunities in this high-power offense. Tinsley has 21 catches already and with a non-conference schedule over, should be seeing a much easier slate of opponents.

Stefan Cobbs, Boise State – 2% rostered

Week 5 Stat Line:  132 receiving yds, 2 TDS

Khalil Shakir is the main receiver for Boise State, but Stefan Cobbs has also had a strong start to the season. He has three games with double-digit points and this past game he had his best game so far with 10 catches. Cobbs should be rostered and can be started in good matchups or for WRs that are on a bye or have an injury.

Tight End

Christian Sims, Bowling Green – 3% rostered

Week 5 Stat Line:  55 receiving yds

Tight ends who can produce consistently are hard to find in college football. Sims has double-digit fantasy production in all four games this season. He is averaging six catches a game and does not have a TD, so while the ceiling is low, it is good to know he is not TD dependent.
