It's time to take an early look at the top 12 dynasty Safeties for next season.
Read on to see 2024 IDP Rankings!

There were seven Safeties that averaged over 20 points a game. When I look at the top 12 dynasty Safeties rankings for 2024, I look at the average score instead of the total score. More than half of the top 32 average-scoring Safeties missed at least one game, and 14 missed two or more games. Of course, the players who do not miss any games will score higher points on the season.

Only one player made the Top 10 weekly average scoring in each of the last three years. There are always surprises in the Top 10 Safeties every season, and 2024 will be no different. Here is my best guess at the Top 12 for 2024.

    12) Kyle Dugger - New England Patriots

Dugger just completed his fourth year with the New England Patriots. He played 98% of the Patriots defensive snaps after playing just 66% of the defensive snaps in 2022. Dugger has only missed four games in his four-year career thus far. The best ability is availability, and Dugger has that in his corner. His contract expires this year, so we are not quite sure where he will play next year. Wherever it is, he should continue to grow as he just posted career highs in tackles, tackles for a loss, QB hits, and sacks in 2023.

Dugger also has the talent to deliver splash plays as evidenced by 20 passes defended, 9 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 3 TDs in his career. Dugger has been incredibly consistent in his play over the last three years ranking 14, 18, and 18 in average score per game.

    11) Jordan Battle - Cincinnati Bengals

Battle is one of two rookies to make my Top 12 Safeties list for 2024. Ironically, both of them got drafted out of Alabama. Battle did not play much in the first 10 weeks of the season with Nick Scott getting the majority of the snaps. Week 11 brought a different story though, as Battle played 81-88% of the defensive snaps in each game since. He averaged almost eight tackles per game in those weeks since Week 11. The Bengals have had their Safety combination for many years with Daxton Hill and Battle working together.
