Carolina Panthers 2022 Fantasy Football + IDP Depth Chart Dive

<a rel=

A team in total turmoil and disarray, the Carolina Panthers still have some viable options for fantasy football and IDP. There are a TON of question marks as to who certain starters will be. Most players beyond Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, and Jeremy Chinn will be dart throws. A tough team to predict for fantasy, let's take a shot!

Offense

Quarterback

Sam Darnold
Baker Mayfield

Was one of my favorite buy-lows in dynasty and still may be depending what you can get him for. Mayfield may never turn into the world-beater Cleveland hoped he would be coming out of college however we have seen flashes of brilliance over the years. Mayfield looked far worse than he actually is last year playing through the shoulder injury, I expect a solid bounce back with a team who will throw more and improved receiving weapons around him. @DynastyBison 8/18/22

Matt Corral
P.J. Walker

Running Back

Christian McCaffrey

Redraft McCaffrey is my RB1 still, I don't bank on RB health or injury and none of his injuries pose threat to the next season's performance like an ACL or achilles tear would. When McCaffrey plays, he has league-winning, fantasy-breaking upside, no RB is "safe" from injuries. Draft CMC. @DynastyBison 8/18/22

D'Onta Foreman
Chuba Hubbard

Wide Receiver

D.J. Moore

Criminally underrated for having put up three straight 1100-yard seasons despite catching passes from the likes of Cam Newton's ghost, Teddy Bridgewater, and Sam Darnold. Again, Mayfield is no world beater, BUT he IS the best QB Moore has had by a good margin in my opinion. I expect the three straight 1100-yard seasons to move to four, however, the three straight four-touchdown seasons to finally break in a positive direction! Moore is a WR1 this year priced as a WR2, love him in all formats. @DynastyBison 8/18/22

Robby Anderson
Terrace Marshall
Rashard Higgins
Shi Smith
Brandon Zylstra
Keith Kirkwood
Charleston Rambo

Tight End

Tommy Tremble
Ian Thomas

Defense

Defensive Tackle

Derrick Brown
Daviyon Nixon

Defensive End/EDGE

Brian Burns
Yetur Gross-Matos
Matthew Ioannidis
Marquis Haynes
Amare Barno

Linebacker

Shaq Thompson
Frankie Luvu
Cory Littleton
Damien Wilson
Brandon Smith
Kamal Martin

Cornerback

Jaycee Horn
Donte Jackson
C.J. Henderson
Rashaan Melvin

Steve Tomasin (@DynastySanta)

After being introduced to fantasy football in 1999 as a wee lad still in middle school, I was hooked. I then began commishing my own keeper league 2 years later as a sophomore in high school, which has been running since. I used a computer program that required me to manually input weekly stats and had to print out summary packets each week to deliver to league owners at the bowling alley. I loved it. Stats and numbers and the competitiveness of being "right" about players was just an incredible high that not many other activities or hobbies have ever provided me. Around 2005 we migrated to the CBS sports site. I found a new love then, writing about our league. Each year after the draft I would "grade" each owner's team. It became almost as anticipated as the draft itself. Also, most weeks I'd recap the league's games and criticize start/sits while boasting my own accolades as long as I won that week. Dynasty, IDP & Superflex are the next evolutions in my fantasy football journey. I'm a Philly suburbs guy, GO BIRDS. Follow me on Twitter @dynastysanta
