Dynasty fantasy football ADP is the key to a solid startup. Let's assess the IDP Guys' consensus rankings of defensive linemen and see whether a ranking is too low, high, or even.
The IDPGuys April Dynasty rankings are live. I wanted to see where players were ranked in their positional group and share my thoughts. I will review a few players from each range and discuss their current status and ADP.
If a player is listed as an EDGE that means they are dual-eligible as a defensive lineman and linebackers on fantasy platforms. IDP Guys rankings can be found here. All salary cap information is via overthecap.com, and all stats are from PFF.
Defensive Lineman Rankings
The First Range (DL1 - DL10)
Nick Bosa, DE, San Francisco 49ers
Contract Details/RankÂ
Nick Bosa is twenty-five and in his four-year rookie contract final year. He accounts for five percent of the 49ers' overall cap in 2022. Bosa is currently the third overall lineman in the IDPGuys defensive lineman dynasty rankings.

High/Low/Even?
When it comes to elite defensive ends in the NFL, one cannot help but mention Nick Bosa. In 2021 Bosa was third in the NFL with eighty-eight pressures and second in sacks with twenty-one. Aside from the 2020 season, in which he was sidelined with a torn ACL, Bosa has been everything you have wanted and more from the defensive end position in two of his three years.
The only knock I could see on Bosa’s fantasy value would be due to his injury history. However, it shouldn't be enough to knock him out of the top three, given he came back from injury and averaged 11.9 FPPG and played in all seventeen games in 2021. I believe anywhere in the top four fits Bosa in one's rankings. I think this ranking is even and about where he should be.Â
Chase Young, DE, Washington Commanders

The Commanders’ stud defensive lineman is in the third deal of his rookie contract and accounts for 4.4% of Washington’s cap in 2022. Young is twenty-three and currently sixth overall in the IDPGuys defensive lineman dynasty rankings.
ADP: 140.00 in conjoined leagues
High/Low/Even?
Another former Buckeye atop of the rankings with some injury history. Young has shown flashes of being considered one of the best defensive ends in the league when healthy. Unfortunately, his 2021 season was cut short due to a torn ACL in the Week 10 game against Tampa Bay. Young tallied only two sacks and twenty-three combined tackles in just under ten games last season.
Young’s 5.5 FPPG in 2021 is nowhere near impressive and is a step back from his 2020 finish of 10.2 FPPG. I have Young just out of my top 10 rankings and wouldn't feel amazing with him as the DL1 for my dynasty roster. The ranking is a tad high for my taste.

Contract Details/RankÂ
Gary will be an unrestricted free agent in 2023, as he is in the last year of his rookie deal. The twenty-five-year-old edge rusher accounts for 2.3% of the Packers' overall salary cap. Rashan Gary is currently 16th overall on the IDPGuys defensive lineman dynasty rankings.
ADP: 212.40 in conjoined leagues
High/Low/Even?
In Rashan Gary’s three seasons with Green Bay, he has slightly improved his statistical output with every season. 67% of Gary’s snaps came in the form of a pass rush, and he led the Packers. He also was third in the NFL in pressures with eighty-one.
The only knock I could see against him is that although Gary has the second most snaps logged as a defensive lineman of Green Bay, he ranked sixty-first overall in total snaps out of all defensive lineman. Green Bay ranked fifth in opposing team offensive plays in 2021 (60.5 plays per game per Teamrankings.com). I am even on Gary’s current ranking and feel he could have a big year coming.
Sam Hubbard, DE, Cincinnati Bengals

The twenty-seven-year-old defensive end is in the second year of his second contract with Cincinnati. He accounts for 3.4% of the Bengals salary cap. Sam Hubbard is currently 23rd overall on the IDPGuys defensive lineman dynasty rankings.Â
ADP: 249.20 in conjoined leagues
High/Low/Even?
Sam Hubbard is one of my favorite players and the most consistent defensive lineman for the Bengals. Of all defensive linemen in 2021, Hubbard was seventh in tackles and tied for 30th in sacks with nine. Last season, Hubbard was tenth among all defensive linemen in total snaps with 877.
In his four years played, two of them, he has logged over 800 snaps, and in three of four seasons, he has over forty solo tackles. Hubbard is a solid DL2 option on any IDP roster and will be for years to come. I feel this ranking is too low but not far off.Â
The Other Range (DL47 - DL68)
Kwity Paye, DE, Indianapolis Colts

Kwity Paye is ranked 48th overall on the IDPGuys defensive lineman dynasty rankings. He is twenty-four years old and will account for 1.5% of the Colts' salary cap. Paye is in the second year of his rookie contract.
ADP: 399.60 in conjoined leagues
High/Low/Even?
Kwity Paye is an interesting player going into 2022 and beyond. He is going into only his second off-season, and the Colts have added defensive end Yannick Ngakoue to the other side of the defensive line. Paye had the second-most snaps of any defensive lineman on the Colts in 2021; he was second in pressures.
The young defensive end did have multiple no-tackle games in 2021, but I still feel he could be a name to watch this coming season. I feel Paye is about even where I have him ranked at the moment. It does seem that the stars are aligning for a breakout in his case.Â
